Tournament Location

HILTON VIENNA PARK
Am Stadtpark 1
1030 VIENNA

How to reach the location

You can use the webapp of the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) (available at https://fahrplan.oebb.at/webapp/) to enter your departure and destination to figure out the best way to reach the tournament location. The public transport stations closest to the tournament location are the underground station “U3/U4 Landstraße”, the train station “Wien Mitte” and the tram station “Landstraße”.

If you travel by car, parking is generally free in the city on Saturday and Sunday, except on designated “Shopping Streets” where you have to buy a park ticket between 0800 and 1200. Parking from Monday to Friday also needs a ticket between 0900 and 2200, except on the Shopping Streets where you need a ticket between 0800 and 1800. More info at https://www.wien.gv.at/english/transportation/parking/shortterm.htm

If all of this is too confusing for you, there is also the option of using the Park & Ride garage in the Safargasse, which charges 4,40€ per 24 hours. It’s within walking distance to the underground station “U3 Erdberg”, from where it only takes 4 stops to reach “U3 Landstraße”.

Default game rules

Default rules for all games. Game specific rules take priority over any of these.

  • All matches are to be played with the default timer settings, BO3 rounds, BO3 games, BO5 games for Winner‘s Final, Loser‘s Final and Grand Final.

  • The loser of a game may switch characters. The winner of a match has to keep their character. In case of a reset in Grand Final, both players may change characters as it‘s considered to be a new match.

  • If a player chooses "Random" on character select and wins the game, that player must go to character select and choose "Random" again.

  • If you pause during a match, you forfeit the ongoing round. You may ignore this rule if the opponent agrees to it.

  • Inevitable death rule: If you pause the match during the cutscene of a super or similar and that super kills, you don‘t forfeit that round.

  • If your input device breaks during the match, you must pause and find a replacement in a timely manner. You then forfeit the ongoing round. If you cannot find a replacement device in a timely manner, you forfeit the ongoing match.

  • Both players are responsible for removing all Bluetooth devices before playing their match. If a third party causes a pause due to a non-desynced wireless input device, the ongoing round is to be continued normally with no penalty for either player or the third party.
